Disinfection of Domestic Water Systems
Whether a newly installed or existing domestic system it is important for that system to be able to deliver clean and safe water.
Working to the latest ACOP L8/ BS8558 standards, we are able to perform all types and sizes of disinfections using traditional chemicals like Sodium Hypochlorite or alternatives like Silver Hydrogen Peroxide which has been shown to be more effective in removing Bio-films.
Pre-commission Cleaning
Newly fabricated heating and cooling pipework systems will contain contaminates such as mill scale and jointing compounds. If these are not removed from the system it can lead to blockage of strainers or control valves and may lead to further corrosion and growth of micro-organisms.
Pre-commission cleaning is the process of removing these contaminates to a satisfactory state for commissioning and on-going maintenance of water quality.
Maintenance
Maintaining a water system properly and safely is crucial to achieving optimum system performance year on year.
Using our expert knowledge we look at each system individually and offer bespoke maintenance packages to help our clients get the best from their water system and ensure they comply with all regulations and guidelines.
System Survey & Validation
We can provide a range of services from simple inspections of Cold Water Storage Tanks to laboratory tested Microbiological and Chemical Sampling of Closed Water Systems to provide clients with detailed and clear information on the condition of their water system.
Remedial Cleaning
Over time & if not properly maintained, closed heating and cooling systems can deteriorate. This can lead to poor system performance, corrosion to system pipework and plant failure.
Remedial cleaning from dynamic flushing to full chemical treatment can be carried out with the intention to restore system water quality, raise system performance and place the system in a state where effective system maintenance can be established..
Tank Cleaning
Cold Water Storage Tanks and Down Services can become contaminated with debris and bacteria for many reasons and this can make them unsafe for use.
Hydra Water Treatment can clean, disinfect and inspect tanks of all sizes to provide our clients with a safe and industry compliant water service.
Water Sampling
Following guidelines set out in BS 8554 & various other standards we carry out sampling of Closed Water Systems and Domestic Water Systems for Validation, Maintenance and Problem-Solving Purposes.
We deliver those samples to an Independent UKAS Accredited laboratory for a range of tests which can be tailored to our clients’ needs or chosen from a selection of industry standard tests.
